Winterbrook Flowers is a boutique flower farm nestled near Manjimup in the picturesque Southern Forests of Western Australia. Currently we specialise in cultivating a diverse selection of dahlias. We offer tubers for sale online , delivering across the country.
In addition, we provide exquisite buckets of fresh flowers from our farm, which might include zinnias, cosmos and snapdragons, when they are in season and available.
Our Dahlia Journey
Nestled adjacent to tall Karri tree bushland in south-west WA, our cool climate and nutrient-rich soils allow us to nurture a popular range of dahlias, providing a burst of vibrant colours for every occasion. Working within the bounds of quarantine requirements, we have collaborated with established growers to bring more dahlias to Western Australia
Your Guide to Growing Beautiful Dahlias

Tubers should be planted within a week of receiving them soil should be slightly moist

If using stakes, put them in prior to planting tubers to avoid damaging tubers

Dig hole 10cm deep, add a spoonful of blood and bone to the hole and mix in

Lay tuber horizontally in prepared hole with shoot pointing up, cover with soil

No need to water in

Lightly water a couple of weeks after planting if the soil has dried out

Once shoots have emerged, water as required

We use a dripper irrigation system for watering

Dahlias often need support – either tied to stakes or corralled in netting

At 6 leaf stage pinch growing tip off to encourage lateral shoots

Fertilise occasionally throughout the season
